Sweet Fall Family!

It's absolutely breathtaking here in Alaska right now! It's as if fall came in a box and just showed up at our doorstep. No warning just beautiful, vibrant leaves delivered right in an outdoor package!! It's a colorful, uplifting, gift we get to open every morning!! I am so thankful I got to meet this sweet family at Kincaid Park in Anchorage on one of these amazing fall days! They were the sweetest family!! And we just had a blast hanging out throwing leaves up in the air and enjoying the giggles that came with this fun photo session!!! Thank you again for having me capture this special time for you! You guys ROCK! :) 

Wedding Sneak Peek! :)

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing(in a place 4300 miles away from Georgia) a special wedding in Alaska (where we now live :)This girl I have known since she was born and she is like family.  I can't tell you what a great day it was! It was pure joy!!! Thanks for having me capture this time for you guys!!! It was truly an honor!! Congratulations friends on your new life together as husband and wife!! :)

Alaska Engagement Session

lWe landed an absolutely gorgeous Alaskian summer day on this one everyone! My friend that I've known since birth and she was here in Alaska!! So happy! Can't even tell you! I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding this past weekend and will update the blog soon on their amazing event! Cannot wait to get those up but for now you'll just have to look upon these good looking faces ;)

We are finally here! Alaska is beautiful! Let's catch up!

Its been way, way too long since I've posted. My goal for the next couple of weeks is to get this blog updated with fun pictures and people that I love and have loved photographing.  It may be a big jumbled mess for awhile, but I think beauty will come out of it.  Looking at pictures of people I love on my computer while peering out my window seeing the mountains is selfish of me not to share.  So here is goes.....I'm going to share!  It may not be in any particular order.......bear with me!  Have a fantastic day friends! 

Last Saturday Morning was a great one!  I got to hang out with an awesome friend and her family at Reed Creek Park! If you haven't been it is worth going. They had a chocolate festival once in the evening and it was amazing!! Light was beautiful...morning was perfect, company was awesome ;), and to top it off there was a Green fair and one of the booths was serving watermelon.

BLOG TIME!

We've been buzzing around these parts. Yup, we are in Ga so I thought I would add some GA verb-age that and the Cicadas have been literary buzzing all around here. Only fitting because we have less than a couple of weeks left until departure and I'm sure that the ALASKAIANs will be looking at us strangely when we start off with a sentence such as the first one of this post. SO I am taking advantage of that while I can.  Speaking of starting off.....here is a couple of fantastically adorable people that are just so grown...It amazes me how quick time went.....I know moms can relate so without further ado! Did I spell that right? Here are some pics of the week before prom and prom.....wow! Yup time just flies. Blink.blink. ;)

Mary Beth Session

I had the privilege of hanging out with Mary Beth of Mary Beth's Photography a bit ago and I did a small mini session in a pretty little park (that my kiddos loved BTW) with Rainboots and umbrellas! We were hoping for rain but , alas, we used rain boots and umbrellas anyway! I think it worked out just perfect!! You have some sweet kiddos Mary Beth! It was a joy to hang out with you!  Hope we can do it again soon!

The Mondi Family

This family is just as sweet as can be!! I can't tell you how excited I was when they asked me to take their pictures again!! Last time our sweet session with Momma and her two boys was awesome! And just we had a blast this time too! In the morning at the Rapids Pavillion with Cake POPS from Cristine! What could be better?! Oh so yummy!! Thank you so much for asking me to spend some time with you all on such a beautiful morning!

PROM!!

Today is the day!! There is PROM in the air! I got to hang with my friend Melissa from Sofia Colton Photography yesterday for a bit and make the final arrangements for tonight's shoots AND our upcoming show at the Inner Bean Cafe........If I've got you wondering...I'll be posting about it later in the week. Back to prom....I have two sessions tonight in two separate locations and I just can't wait! Two of my great friends have seniors this year and its just going to be one fantastic night!!  I think I'll be on the scooter..It's such a great scooter day! Here is a couple pics from a location scope-out that I went on with my friend Patti and her littles (that aren't so little anymore!) Cupcakes...

Cupcake fairy!! She came to my house and delivered!! I couldn't believe these things.......straight out of a fairy-tale I tell you......Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Cristine! They were ooohed and ahhhed in my house and eaten up with a quickness...

Field Trip with a couple of REALLY nifty photographers I just recently met in the area! Makes me sad and happy at the same time! So blessed meeting you all but sad we are up and movin!  It was sooo much fun! :) Thank you gals for letting me use your beautiful children as models!!

The Wilson Family

This family is a really, really nifty one!! They are modeling in this session for Laura Renee Photography.  I came along for the fun! Everyone totally got muddy but OH the flowers.......I did say I just love FLOWERS and cool people to go along with them right?

Catchup!

YEAH!! Love Masters week in Augusta! It's beautiful and there is nothing like the FLOWERS! If there is anything anyone can say about me, its that I LOVE flowers. All different shades, colors, running through them, picking them and putting them on our kitchen table. My littles sometimes ask me if they can pick every flower they stumble apon (including landscape kind) Thankfully, they ask or our church would have not a landscaped flower left...but I digress.....pictures have been taken all over this pretty greeen Georgia country by Lana Marie Photography and I haven't blogged a one of them in WAY TOO LONG!! So here we are playing catchup! :)

I didn't realize how much I needed to update the website with some photos of the awesome people I've been so happy to photograph in the last year or so!  So as we say in the south, I finally " dun did it" :) Hope everyone has an incredibly blessed day!! :) Thank you all for such a great year! 

Is it really March already?! Boy this year is flying!! Maybe because we are just having too much fun.  We are so blessed.  It has been a crazy year but life isn't supposed to be the same every day, over and over.  Sometimes you win and sometimes you learn.  And let me tell ya, we've had lots of learning this year.  This year has been a year of learning to be grateful. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn.  Nothing worth getting better is easy. I am grateful for family, grateful for great friends, grateful for the clients that I have had the opportunity to capture their moments, and most importantly grateful for the love and grace that covers us all in God's love.
