One super Rockin' couple!

What a busy season it has been so far!! I cannot believe we are in December.  This Alaskan snow wind and weather have thrown me for a loop and I think that is what has made it soo exciting!!! Our family took a little vaca to sunny California but before we left, I was blessed to meet the Dent family!  Both of them were up for whatever craziness I had up my sleeve. Thank you all for willing to go trekking through the snow and cold to just any place I wanted to take pictures!! I am so glad I got to meet and hang out with you!!! :) Welcome to Alaska! YOU ROCK! :) 

Great "G" Family!!

SO super far overdue!! I was so excited when sweet Jen asked me to take their family portrait when her hubby returned home! She said it had been quite a while since they had them done, actually about right after her sweet little girl was born....I was honored. I also got to capture their reunion here in Alaska after they had been away from each other because of dad's deployment. What an emotional day! I was the lady crying behind the camera!!! They were so fun, laughing all the way and we got to do it right here in OUR neighborhood where the kids love to play!! :) Love it! Thank you all so much for having me capture this time for you!!! YOU ROCK!

The sweet "B" family!!

I can't say enough about this awesome family! They were willing to stand in the most beautiful half dead grass I've ever seen because the frost had crystalized layer after layer on it making it absolutely gorgeous for the sun filtering through  it like diamonds.  Just FYI its pretty cold here up in Eagle River (which is usually even 10 degrees colder than Anchorage surprisingly!!)  I couldn't believe grass could look diamond coated until that day!!! The warmth that this sweet family brings everywhere they go makes me smile every time I see them!!! I was even blessed with being able to take their Katelynns photos for her senior year this year!!! Thank you so much "B" family!!!

Another Super Senior Session!

The biggest compliment I can receive is to have someone speak good things about Lana Marie Photography. Word of mouth is how I met Luke!  I was contacted by Luke's family and then the perfect day was snuck up on us...We totally jumped at the chance of the perfect weather the very next day :) I can't tell you how amazingly awesome their yard was! Perfect view of the mountains....crisp fall air...and one really awesome senior!! Thank you Luke and family for giving me the opportunity to photograph one awesome guy! May God bless you in all you do and a super congratulations on your graduation this year!!!

Sweet Seniors Sessions!!! :)

 I LOVE my Seniors! They are amazingly fun!! Senior sessions are the most spontaneous, spur of the moment, interesting sessions I think I have! And these beautiful girls are two of the very sweetest, kindest, most talented ones I know .Their sessions weren't done together but I had so much fun with both of these amazing girls...I wanted to fill this blog post with as much awesomeness as possible They are both so full of life and God has some awesome plans for these superstars! So here they are!!! Thank you girls for our fun adventures!! May your year be blessed with amazingness and joy-filled and cherished memories that you will have as you start this new chapter in your lives...You ROCK! :) 

This crazy Alaskan fall!!

This blog has seen its days of neglect, but man, this insane like weather (frenzied wind and rain sometimes even flooding!) has thrown us for a loop time and time again this season.  We have moved locations, changed schools, and had some amazing new clients!! ..However, as much as I love all of you all a capturing your memories, it has allowed me and my family to create some amazing memories baking, making soup, drinking cider, hiking, and getting wind blown (sometimes pelted with rain haha!)   outside with the beautiful foliage that Alaska has to offer.  We haven't taken all that many pictures (can you believe that?) but we have taken a couple...Here is a peek of our last couple of weeks. 

This is one last picture was taken by my amazingly sweet husband of me insisting I wasn't on the right side of the camera ;) Love that man.SO if we haven't met (I sure hope to soon!)....here's a little sneak peek into the life of Lana Marie  :) Thank you all for all of your love and support this season and especially being so flexible!  More blogs to come....like I said this poor blog was seriously crying due to neglect...

Anniversary time! :)

These are two very special people! Melissa and her husband Josh I met through church and I just love that  I got hang out with their family! It was their 10 year anniversary and they wanted to mark this milestone with pictures! I couldn't have been more excited when they asked me! Everyone at the firehouse was so awesome helping to get ready for this shoot too! They washed the truck and helped me find things to stand on and everything...even with me and my goofy demeanor through the whole thing. It was eventful for sure! It even started to rain...and we just had a blast with it!!! Thank you all I hope you had as much fun as I did!!! :) Happy Anniversary and thank you again for asking me to take these special pictures for you!! :) 

The Oakes family!! :)

 This wonderful family asked me to capture their time here...and I am sooo happy that they did!!! I can't tell you how much fun we had!! There were daisies, bubbles, giggles, hugs, ducks, mountains, water, and one beautiful family!!! What else could I ask for?? I could have hung out all day...and would have... but I didn't want everyone going around calling me the creepy photographer that just wouldn't leave her session family alone. Hope you all had as much fun as I did!!! It was a pleasure to meet you and your beautiful family!! Thank you for everything Oakes family!!

The Totally cool Tudor Family! :)

So I kinda just couldn't get over how simply perfectly all the colors and sunlight were  the day we got to finally get together and hang out!!  It was a weather cat and mouse game for a while, but a amazing day came along..This sweet family now lives even further from me than I'd like to say (inserts sad face here--->) but we did it and met at a fantastically beautiful park with some  sweet beautiful  people.  Thank you again asking me hang!!!  I had a blast! Thank you Tudor Family! YOU ROCK!!! 

The wonderful "W" Family!

This is such a sweet couple! I had a blast with them walking through grass and flowers and hanging out on a really cool bridge near our new house! I had seen it but didn't know just how cool it would be!  Last week we went  around and included some typical Alaskan changing weather in our pictures!!! I'm happy to say that it brightened up as our session went along so we were smiling!!!! :)    We had some fun waiting for the train to pass as we were driving  between locations and hanging out with my new camera pal!  He has been so sweetly named froggy from one of my sessions....and instead of saying ribbit he squeeks.  I can't help but laugh at this crazy frog at the end of my lens now and wonder what category of photographer does this make me?  This awesomely sweet and beautiful couple nominated our March Joy session winner and because their entry one they also got a gift certificate towards a Lana Marie Photography session.  Thank you all so much for spending  time with us last Saturday!!

Cool Clark Family!!

I can't tell you what a gorgeous couple of days have been here in Alaska!! Absolutely picture perfect...the weather and temperature matches the pictures you have come to think of Alaska if you have never traveled here. These were the couple of days this summer that we waited for!! And it just so happens that this couple was celebrating their anniversary with their family on this amazingly beautiful night!!! Thank you all for spending such a special occasion and beautiful evening with me!! YOU ROCK! :)
