LMP travels to Georgia! :)

It has been an adventure since we arrived here in Alaska. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.  I am grateful for all the things I have learned and grown in since we have been here on a personal and professional level.  For all these things I am grateful.
I want to talk about being grateful for a second. I cannot fully express in words how much I love and am grateful to be posting this post.  Because of how amazingly, ridiculously, wonderful  the people in this post are......I was able to travel and see them and spend time with them.  Because of the people in this post....I am a better wife, mother, friend, and Christian.  Many of them have been with our family through so many of the laughs and some of the tears of life. Words cannot express how thankful I am that God sent them into my life everyday no matter where in the world we are.  Thank you, thank you, thank you. Everyday I thank God for you all. I am saddened only that not everyone is pictured here, but you all know who you are!! Thank you for your hugs and love from Alaska!

Thank you "G" family!!

I love the school my kiddos attend! I can't say enough about Birchwood Christian School.  Every teacher there is nothing less than amazing and the academics and values that are taught and reenforced there are something I wish we could take with us everywhere we go in our schools ( being a military and that fact that this school doesn't yet have a portable option...wouldn't that be just amazing?) ....This year has been amazing at their school!! Every year this awesome school holds an auction and because of a small donation of a photo-session and a really, beautiful Alaskan family who purchased that session, I got to hang out one afternoon with a super, fabulous family!!!!! You all are so fun!!!! Thank you for having me come hang out with you all!! :)

Sweet sunshine and -15 degrees!!

What a crazy winter season we have been having here in Alaska this year.  Last year it was snow and this year it was the cold and then the warm...Its a super impressive display of the unexpected! And super cool. I have come to know this year that Alaskans are prepared for pretty much everything! They expect the unexpected and are always willing to lend a helping hand!

Speaking of lending a hand, this family is always willing to do that.  They are amazing!!!  And that they asked me to photograph their family was such a blessing because they are just SO MUCH fun to be around! They even were willing to stand in the freezing cold running in and out so they could be photographed in the beautifully clear views this cold brings to Alaska this time of year.  Thank you so much Rud family for braving the cold (including their daughter who was up visiting from college in GA).  Talk about temperature change. Thank you all for being a blessing in our lives and the lives of so many others through your service and kindness! YOU ROCK! :)

I love mini shoots because I get to see not only one family, but a bunch of amazingly beautiful and awesome families in one day!!!!! I was very thankful for my friend Melissa who was awesome in lending me a hand with paperwork and totally being amazing with all the kiddos!!! Seriously, she's got a gift with making people smile!! I was smiling all day with her and great families we got to hang out with before Christmas!! So without any further delay here are some outtakes from these pretty cool Alaskans I am forever blessed to know!!

Happy January 2013!!!

Its been a little over a month since I posted ANYTHING....Oh dear! I'm trying to get back into the swing of things after the Christmas season at our abode.  I hope during that time you all were able to see family far away (or close because Alaska is cool like that too!) , rest, have sledding/skiing/snowboarding adventures, time with hot cocoa and board games sitting around the fire making memories, I know we did and it was awesome! So thankful for this new year and LMP!
We are taking a clue from Alaska and will shift quickly this year to focus on our customers and families more! We absolutely LOVE you all and want to let you know that we have worked to make the Lana Marie Photography experience better!!!  We are limiting the number of sessions this year to give the dedicated time to each client that is booked.  Check back on the calendar to see the available dates in the next week or so if you have a specific date in mind.
